Donna and Sharbel's Sacred Commitment Ceremony
On April 26, 2013, Donna was on retreat in Ben Lomond, CA, to be ordained an interfaith Angel Minister. Sharbel took time off to join her on this retreat to see his beloved ordained.
During the retreat, Donna’s teacher, Rev. Dr. Kimberly Marooney, offered to marry them, but the timing was not yet right as they were awaiting Sharbel’s fiancé visa. One of the angel ministers suggested that they have a Commitment Ceremony instead. And they thought it was a wonderful idea.
They planned their sacred Commitment Ceremony in the same way they are now planning their wedding ceremony. Rev. SusanAnn Wilkerson helped them with the planning, as did Rev. Kimberly. Reverends Erin Miller, Terry Shaw and Nicole Kindred each said special prayers for them during the ceremony.

Amidst the beauty of the sequoias, surrounded in a circle of trees and nature, Donna and Sharbel pledged their love and commitment to one another. In a touching moment, Sharbel, upon beginning his commitment vows, dropped to the ground on bended knee and delivered his precious vows looking up at Donna. They drank from a loving cup blessed by Rev. SusanAnn. In the Native American tradition, when those listening like what they hear during a ceremony, they are invited to shout out, “Ho!” There were many voices heard saying “Ho” during the ceremony.
At the finale, Phillip Phillips’ song “Home” was played and everyone began singing, dancing, blowing bubbles, laughing, hugging and celebrating. Those precious moments are captured in the movie.

After the ceremony, Rev. Kimberly arranged a beautiful gourmet luncheon complete with strawberry shortcake for Donna and Sharbel. It was a totally blessed and enchanting experience for all who were part of this amazing afternoon where another angel minister, Debra West, and her fiancé Warren were married.
Rev. Winne Shouten took some beautiful photos and Dave Dodge, husband of Rev. Bobbe Bramson, graciously videotaped the event. Donna created a movie with some of the photos that Rev. Winne took.

Sharbel and Donna would like to share their Commitment Ceremony movie with you and hope that you will feel the essence of that sacred afternoon when so many angels were present, and as they were surrounded by so much love and light. May you enjoy this movie and may you find joy and inspiration during the upcoming sacred wedding ceremony that will forever join the hearts and souls of Donna and Sharbel and “re-unite” two Twin Flames so they may do God’s work more powerfully in the world.
